The Brisa Residence by FCstudio reimagines the concept of home by seamlessly combining design, sustainability, and innovation. Standing tall with its vertical structure, the house offers expansive sea views that enhance the living experience. Large windows and strategically placed balconies maximize visual contact with the ocean and surrounding nature, creating an immersive environment for residents.
From the moment you enter, the design captivates with signature pieces like the Equilíbrio and Libélula tables. FCstudio selected natural stone and advanced materials resistant to sunlight and salt air to ensure durability. These choices not only withstand the coastal elements but also make cleaning and maintenance effortless. Additionally, the thoughtful use of windows and balconies fosters a strong connection with nature, promoting the well-being of those who live here.
Artistry and Functional Elegance
Brisa Residence respects its geographical and cultural context, offering residents a space that is both modern and deeply connected to nature. The project features elegant lighting solutions, such as the 8-meter-long tensioned canvas light fixture. This innovative centerpiece changes its appearance with the daylight, mirroring sunset colors and adding a dynamic dimension to the space.
In the gourmet area, practicality meets design. The space includes a sink, a dry bar for organizing bottles, wine coolers, and storage drawers. This setup is perfect for stylish entertaining, making every gathering memorable. Moreover, the Rosso Wall in the living area showcases a piece by Brazilian artist Bechara, adding an artistic touch that elevates the room’s sophistication.
Unique Furniture and Artistic Integrations
FCstudio’s commitment to preserving views is evident in the furniture design. The Equilíbrio table, inspired by a ballerina’s choreography, features a cantilevered metal structure supporting a 5-meter-long top. This design allows for social interactions with a light, sculptural presence. Similarly, the Libélula table draws inspiration from dragonfly wings. Its legs add lightness, opening up views of the stunning landscape, while the amorphous top with Rafaello marble veins adds personality and elegance.
The Onda sideboard, inspired by São Paulo’s coastline, captures the essence of Iporanga beach where sea waves meet the sand. Its curved Krion doors translate the coastal spirit into furniture design, embodying the genius loci of the location. Additionally, the Stonehenge Table reflects FCstudio’s DNA, inspired by the timeless robustness of Stonehenge’s Neolithic stones. This table uses leftover materials from the house’s construction, emphasizing sustainability and creativity.
Seamless Integration of Art and Architecture
Art plays a significant role in Brisa House. The Awapé sculpture by renowned Brazilian artist Hugo França resides in the garden, blending organically with the surrounding vegetation. Its corten steel base complements the house’s architecture, enhancing the harmony between art, nature, and structure. Inside, the Rosso marble wall features a sliding panel that conceals the TV screen, revealing it only when needed. This design choice maintains the room’s aesthetic integrity while offering functionality.
Lighting in Brisa Residence also stands out. The Haste lamp, designed by Flávio Castro, founder of FCstudio, is a horizontal, minimalist fixture that floats in space without any adornments. It provides homogeneous illumination for sculptures and other art pieces, ensuring that each element shines without distraction.
Rooftop Oasis with Panoramic Views
The rooftop of Brisa House serves as a premier spot for sea observation. The seating arrangement offers a privileged view of the ocean, allowing residents to enjoy breathtaking sunsets and serene mornings. A standout feature is the side table, a genuine ship propeller topped with a glass surface, adding a nautical touch that ties back to the house’s coastal location.
Final Reflections on Brisa Residence
The Brisa Residence by FCstudio exemplifies the perfect fusion of design, sustainability, and innovation. Every element, from the thoughtfully selected materials to the unique furniture pieces, reflects a commitment to creating a modern, functional, and nature-connected home. By respecting the geographical and cultural context, Brisa Residence offers residents a sanctuary that is both elegant and deeply harmonious with its natural surroundings. This project stands as a remarkable example of how thoughtful design can enhance everyday living, making it a true masterpiece in modern architecture.
