Easy Tiger Bake Shop and Beer Garden’s newest outpost brings fresh energy to a once‑ordinary 1980s strip mall on Austin’s north side. Moreover, this destination combines an artisanal bakery, indoor bar and dining room, drive‑thru coffee, and a sprawling 250‑seat outdoor beer garden pavilion. Consequently, it transforms a mundane commercial block into a lively community hub.
Transforming a 1980s Strip Mall
First, the design team reimagined the existing stucco facade and parking lot as a place for people—not cars. Instead of hiding operations, large windows give patrons front‑row views of bakers pulling bread from deck ovens and pastry chefs crafting treats. Furthermore, exposed charcuterie stations add visual interest and spark conversation. As a result, everyday craftsmanship becomes part of the guest experience.
Indoor Experiences: Bakery, Bar, & Dining
Next, the indoor spaces invite visitors to linger. The bake shop showcases freshly baked bread and pastries behind glass displays. Meanwhile, the bar serves local beers and cocktails against a backdrop of lively activity. In addition, the drive‑thru coffee window caters to busy commuters seeking quality espresso on the go. Altogether, these public‑facing areas blend functionality with warmth.
The Lush Outdoor Beer Garden
Moreover, the new beer garden occupies an oddly shaped corner of the parking lot and takes full advantage of existing live oak trees. A light, airy pavilion shelters picnic tables and lounge seating beneath a canopy of greenery. Consequently, guests can enjoy craft brews, share plates, and music in a shaded, park‑like setting. Furthermore, string lights and planters enhance the welcoming, laid‑back vibe.
