Through the Living Clay collection, Johnson Tsang from Hong Kong argues once again, as if it were needed, until where the human imagination goes in order to realize some sculptural and decor pieces. The collection proves the extraordinary creativity of Johnson Tsang, whose pieces manage to take the viewer’s breath away. Through his works, the artist stimulates the viewer’s imagination and expresses a wide palette of feelings and emotions.
The sculptures evoke the idea that everything is originally born “without form” and that any material, sentimental or emotional manifestation, in the end, is evanescent. Charged with a profound spiritual value, the artist’s creations capture in clay the primordial power of water from which everything is born and in which everything eventually returns.
Tsang claims that his works “Living Clay Collection” are “satire of the human condition”. The artist demonstrates, through his sculptures, that ceramic has a great potential of expression and it allows countless significances. I think it is the best to let the photos speak!
