This seasonal home lies parallel to the water, looking south into preserved agricultural land with the distant sound of waves breaking along the ocean shore, and north to a field of wildflowers and native grasses. The plan bends slightly to maximize views of the coastline.
Sited on a small inner city block, York Street House reflects a type of urban architecture that is born from contextual constraints and is not only an impressive piece of small architecture that is light filled and spacious, but exemplifies contemporary Australian ideas about inner city living.
The design of the Arco furniture collection starts clearly from its inspiration by the Seventies. Composed by a couch, chairs, tables and high stools this new collection designed by Masquespacio is builded up, as its name in Spanish indicates, from different rounded arcs that create a funny play of forms.
Two existing homes on one lot became the ideal canvas for bringing together multiple generations and tastes to create a serene family compound. We transformed the larger home at the rear of the property to fit Ogawa Fisher Architects Principal Lynn Fisher’s family of four.
Positioned on the second floor of one of Clerkenwell’s finest warehouse buildings, this extraordinary apartment has been distinctively designed by Henley Halebrown Rorrison Architects. Measuring around 2,000sqft, the singular space celebrates the original fabric of the building with great honesty.
Located on the 11th floor of the Copan Building, the apartment signed by SuperLimão Studio had as premise to integrate the spaces. The challenge was to create spans in the project, since the existing structure did not allow to transform the apartment into a loft.
The project begins with the search of aspects related to a forest that can be applied to the design of this single-family house with two floors: vegetation, growth over time, large spaces, introverted spaces or overhead lighting, among others.
