The Riviera Summer Apartment, designed for a mother and her two adult children, underwent a comprehensive transformation to modernize its interiors while maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere. Located along a picturesque beach, this renovation aimed to blend the comfort of a permanent home with the laid-back luxury of a summer retreat. The project introduced functional updates, such as a new door separating the living room from the balcony, enhancing privacy while preserving the openness and natural light that define beachside living.
Living Room: A Hub for Family Gatherings
In the Riviera Summer Apartment, the living room was reimagined to foster family connections. The layout was reversed to feature a large TV and a big screen, creating the perfect setting for movie nights and shared moments. A round card table was added to encourage interactive play. To maintain a light and airy feel, the room incorporates a Decameron sofa and light-toned sculptures, complemented by a pink armchair from Dpot and a dining set from Líder and Estúdio Gola, ensuring the space is both stylish and functional.
Balcony: An Elevated Outdoor Living Space
The balcony of the Riviera Summer Apartment, previously integrated with the living area, now exudes sophistication with its rough travertine cladding. The barbecue area, enhanced by a clear bench and custom joinery, offers a refined space for outdoor dining. Comfortable seating, including a Carbono sofa and Decameron armchair, invites relaxation while the upgraded sound system sets the perfect ambiance for gatherings.
Kitchen: Blending Practicality with Elegance
The kitchen redesign in the Riviera Summer Apartment prioritizes convenience for busy summer days. A new bench with stools, an Italian stove, and a spacious sink provide functionality, while sophisticated cabinetry with a green tactile coating adds a modern touch. The design balances practical needs with a contemporary aesthetic, making the kitchen a welcoming and efficient space.
Laundry: Efficient and Stylish
The laundry area benefits from natural lighting and features fluted metalwork with sliding doors, preserving the area’s elegance while offering easy access. The design aligns with the apartment’s overall theme of understated luxury, ensuring even utilitarian spaces are stylish and functional.
Children’s Room: Bright and Inviting
In the children’s room, a palette of blue, gray, and white creates a bright, welcoming environment. The bed, with its braided leather backrest, and the storage hack for surfboards reflect a balance of practicality and style. The design brings light and energy into the space, making it a perfect retreat within the Riviera Summer Apartment.
Daughter’s Bedroom: Optimizing Space and Comfort
Space optimization was key in the daughter’s bedroom, where a shallow closet and double bed were added. The design ensures that the room is both cozy and functional, offering a private sanctuary within the apartment.
Mother’s Bedroom: A Calming Oasis
The mother’s bedroom in the Riviera Summer Apartment features calming green tones, a specific request from the client. Slats on the walls create depth and texture, while the corduroy-textured cabinet fronts add a tactile element. A custom mirror from Casacor completes the design, enhancing the room’s sense of space and serenity.
Toilet: A Luxurious Touch
The toilet in the Riviera Summer Apartment is a luxurious space, featuring a Guatemala green marble countertop with a darker-toned sink. The addition of a Santa Luzia slat panel adds texture and depth, creating a space that is both functional and elegant.
