Located on the 35th floor with sweeping views of São Paulo’s Brooklin neighborhood, Studio Apartment Brooklin by Ricardo Abreu shows how creativity can turn a small space into a vibrant, functional home. Designed for short-term rentals, the apartment blends efficiency, personality, and warmth — transforming a simple investment property into a standout urban retreat.

Maximizing Every Square Meter

When the owner bought the apartment, it was brand new but lacked character. Ricardo Abreu’s team saw an opportunity to create something distinctive for tourists and business travelers. They reorganized the layout to make the most of its compact size while highlighting the panoramic city views.

The original bathroom stayed in place, but the rest of the space changed completely. The former gourmet terrace became part of the interior, expanding the living area. Now, the apartment includes a bright kitchen, a cozy sleeping nook, a dining space with a built-in bench, and a small desk for work or study. Each area connects naturally, creating a single open plan that feels spacious despite its modest footprint.

A Design Defined by Color and Simplicity

The design concept for Studio Apartment Brooklin focused on using simple materials in creative ways. Ceramic tiles cover not only the floors and walls but also parts of the furniture. This solution kept costs low, reduced the need for custom cabinetry, and made cleaning easy — a practical choice for a busy rental.

Color brings the apartment to life. The kitchen glows in soft yellow tones. A green floor climbs up the wall to form the headboard, and the dining bench adds a deep red accent that matches the main wall color. These bold hues work together to create an energetic yet balanced space. Each tone defines a zone, helping guests intuitively understand the layout.

Durable Materials and Smart Details

Ricardo Abreu prioritized durability and easy maintenance throughout the project. The team built kitchen shelves and side panels using drywall covered in ceramic tiles. This approach created sturdy, waterproof surfaces while maintaining visual unity. Built-in furniture such as the dining bench saves space and reduces clutter.

Soft curves in the ceiling and cabinetry add rhythm and contrast to the straight lines of the layout. The continuous ceramic surfaces tie everything together, giving the studio a clean, modern look that feels playful and refined at the same time.

A Memorable Stay in São Paulo

The completed apartment quickly stood out on the rental market. Within months, Studio Apartment Brooklin by Ricardo Abreu earned Airbnb’s Superhost badge — proof that good design drives both guest satisfaction and profitability. Visitors enjoy a home that feels fresh, practical, and full of character.

This project shows that even small apartments can deliver big impact. Through color, material honesty, and smart space planning, Studio Apartment Brooklin turns simplicity into an experience — one that reflects both São Paulo’s energy and the architect’s creative spirit.
