The Costa Brava Weekend House project involved the renovation of two existing buildings and the construction of a new complimentary space, to create two independent dwellings designed for use by a family as a second home.
The extension of the Casa Golgota was made at a lower level, taking advantage of the terraces, using wood and concrete, clearly demarcating the addition and the original in chronological terms.
The contrast between the raw concrete facades and the interior of the House CG creates an intimate tactile sensation, experienced through the patios, the skylights and the stairs.
In the hills of Monchique, between ups and downs, taking advantage of an extraordinary situation is this single-storey house. Set in a southern slope, with access by small and winding tar road, lies over one of several existing terraces that tear the steep slope into small cultivable levels.
The Dos Oleiros House is located in Castelo Branco, in the old part of the city, which has been in an increasing state of decline in recent years. Urban revitalisation of the historic centre and its occupancy by younger age groups, making this part of the city more dynamic once more.
The triangular shaped plot has a total area of 13.850 m2 and is oriented South/North. The path to the plot runs alongside a white wall, showing the way to the entrance. Entering the plot, the building reveals itself.
This is the rehabilitation and expansion of a building in the historic center of Leiria for two- family housing. The total recovery of the existing façade is based on a very common language of the city of Leiria, with the openings in bordeaux and white colors, surrounded by stonework.
