The starting point for the creation of the design project was the bronze sculpture “Waiting for a Hero”. She became the very first purchase of the owner in a new apartment.
When we signed an agreement with the customer and started work, a personal exhibition of the sculptor Andrey Ostashev was held in Minsk. We went to the exhibition together with the customer, after which he bought Andrey’s work, which impressed him very much. The sculpture took center stage in the living room – it predetermined the whole story and gave the project its name. The “hero” of his own story in this case is the owner of the apartment. His lifestyle, daily rituals and way of life.
Its owner is a man working in the IT field, passionate about contemporary art, travel and music. He wanted to get an interior as a backdrop for relaxation and hobbies, in which there would be as much air as possible and where one could take a break from the visual and informational noise of the big city.
If you remove the decor, then the style can be described as minimalist. But without decor and textiles, minimalism is cold and faceless. The decor in this case personalized the project and brought it to life.
When choosing items for the interior, I try to mix modern, minimalist forms and vintage. I really like vintage things, I have always used them, even when it was not yet a megatrend, as it is now.
