Revitalized by New York-based studio, Baxt Ingui the work respected the original historical architecture of the main building and restoration of the front façade
Tama’s Tee Home was constructed on what was solid and reusable from the previous house. Approximately fifty-percent of the previous structure was kept, including the large sandstone retaining wall to the front of the home and the garage beneath.
The project was born from the idea to link the different spaces of the house by means of a unifying element. This concept was materialized employing a suspended ceiling that communicated both ends of the apartment and overlaid the existing elements and the new intervention.
The Ashby Residence is derived from the stereotomic operation of subtracting from and adding to a solid volume to enable specific programmatic relationships and daylight conditions. Sited on a typical 50’x150’ single-family residential lot in Austin, Texas, the design questions the standard house massing and arrangement by stretching along the length of the lot.
Completed in 2014, Cheeran House was the recipient of RIBA South Regional and RIBA National awards in 2016, and featured on Grand Designs as a candidate for the RIBA House of the Year.
The Fuzzy Dentist house was considered to still let that path being in function even when the construction is finished, and to appear almost as nothing much happens from constructing this house.
ASR House is a renovation project of a house situated on the second floor of a building located in Sicily, in the old town centre of Ragusa near the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace. A survey showed that the portion of the building to renovate had already been consolidated in the 90’s, during a restoration and consolidation of the entire property.
