The project consists of a renovation of an attic left unfinished. We tried to keep the existing partitions and to modify them in order to avoid major demolitions.
The main challenge in this project was to fit four floors into a house with plot limitation, that would look like two. By stretching, extending and raising the main box we managed to hide three floors in it, and create a Pavilion looking house.
The plot is situated at the end of a dead end street. Next to the plot the landscape begins to slope and you can enjoy a beautiful view. At the side and the back of the plot there is a footpath that is used sporadically by hikers.
Carpinteria Foothills residence is designed to seamlessly open unto the panoramic coastal ridge‐top site via expansive operable glazed walls. The glazed transparency is balanced and the home is anchored in place by substantial cut native sandstone walls.
Sitting peacefully in an open field, this off-the-grid sustainable house captures the views without compromising on environmental performance. Located at Franklinford in Victoria’s Central Highlands, the four-bedroom home is shared between two families, providing a gathering place for the extended family and a place to relax and relish the joys of rural life.
The Vingt House is anchored on a sloping site next to the ski resort Le Relais. The upper ground offers a magnificent view of the Laurentian hills and Lac-Beauport’s residential area.
Forest Fairy House stands at the corner of huge, deep floodplain forest close to Prague. Our clients picked awesome place, in the middle of the woods, situated close to very old village, which was historically used as source of workers for emperor forests.
