Situated in the far corner of a mews, our brief for this project was to create a contemporary family home. To respect the existing architecture of the mews, we designed a home that has a more traditional feel on the outside, with bricks and sash windows, but which has a distinctively modern feel inside.
A family in Ealing, with three children, commissioned Office S&M to refurbish their house. We created a child-friendly house in the broadest sense of the word, adding curves to the walls, a playful snakes-and-ladders bannister to the new room, and an arched window for each child.
The iconic Bookshop on Blenheim Crescent is still sought our by international tourists and visitors to London who are fans of the film Notting Hill. Above the shop Cubic has created a highly individual two bedroom flat from the carcass of the original property which had endured for almost four decade.
The client’s brief was to demolish an existing single-storey storage garage and construct a new two bedroom courtyard home in an awkward space between rear terraced gardens and a row of 16 garages in West London.

The owners of this Victorian terrace, set within the Dartmouth Park Conservation Area, commissioned De Rosee Sa to create an sympathetic, yet contemporary, family house.Â
The typical terrace 2 up 2 down house layout suffers from a narrow plan form with a set of corridor like circulation spaces. Ground floor spaces are often rooms off this cellular corridor with bedrooms at first floor compromised due to the non active circulation space that runs from front to back of the building.
